Quetta Defeated the Lahore by 5 wickets

In the fourth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Quetta Gladiators defeated the defending champions Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets. Quetta Gladiators achieved the target of 188 runs of Lahore Qalandars with 5 balls to spare for the loss of 5 wickets in the match played in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Khawaja Nafee played

From Quetta Gladiators, Khawaja Nafee played an unbeaten innings of 60 runs, he faced 31 balls and hit 3 sixes and 4 fours. Opener Saud Shakeel 40, Jason Roy 24, captain Riley Russo 18, Sharafane Rutherford 14 and Sarfaraz Ahmed returned to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs.

Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, Fayaz Salman and Sikandar Raza took 1 and 1 wickets from Lahore Qalandars.

Second consecutive Defeat of Lahore Qalandars

This is the second consecutive defeat of Lahore Qalandars in PSL 9, in the first match Islamabad United defeated the defending champions by 8 wickets.

Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 187 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Jahan Dad Khan of Lahore Qalandars played an unbeaten and lightning fast innings of 45 runs, he played 17 balls and hit 4 sixes and 3 fours. Sikandar Raza of Qalandars scored 18, van der Deusen 15, Shaheen Afridi 12 and Abdullah Shafiq 11 runs while Fakhar Zaman and Carlos Brathwaite scored 6 and 6 runs respectively.

Quetta Defeated Lahore

Mohammad Hasnain and Aqeel Hussain of Quetta Gladiators took 2 wickets each while Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim and Abrar Ahmed dismissed one player each.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Quetta Gladiators captain Riley Russo came to the field for the toss of the match.

The team management has included Salman Fayyaz, Carlos Brathwaite, Jahan Dad Khan, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan in the final eleven.

Quetta Defeated Lahore

Lahore Qalandars were defeated by Shadab Khan’s Islamabad United by 8 wickets in the first match of the event, while Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 16 runs yesterday.

Khawaja Nafi, who played a brilliant innings for Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, has said that currently my focus is PSL.

Khawaja Nafi, who played an unbeaten innings of 60 runs in the match against Lahore Qalandars in Lahore, has said that our combination is well made, and the management gave a lot of confidence.

“I was told by the coaches that whenever you play shots, play with confidence,” he said.

The Quetta Gladiators batsman added that right now my focus is on PSL and I have to do well.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi gifted his bat to Quetta Gladiators’ Khawaja Nafi for his brilliant batting against the defending champions Lahore Qalandars in the HBL Pakistan Super League.

Quetta Gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets in the fourth match of PSL 9 yesterday.

Lahore Qalandars had given Quetta a target of 188 runs for victory, which Gladiators achieved on the first ball of the 20th over.

Gladiators’ Khawaja Nafi played

Gladiators’ Khawaja Nafi played an unbeaten knock of 60 runs, his 31-ball innings included 3 sixes and 4 fours. After the match, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi gifted his bat to Khawaja Nafi for his excellent batting.

While releasing a video message on social media, Khawaja Nafi said that Shaheen Afridi gave me the bat in this innings, I hope I will continue to play such innings in the future.
