Shadab Khan, the vice-captain of the national team, was dropped from the tour of New Zealand.

According to the private News channel, the national team for the five T20 series against New Zealand will be announced tomorrow, and the top scorer of the national T20 Sahibzada Farhan is likely to join the team.

Sources say that the proposal to rest Babar and Rizwan has been rejected by the team director Mohammad Hafeez.

Shadab Khan has been Dropped:

Sources also say that all-rounder Shadab Khan has been dropped from the team for the New Zealand tour.

It should be noted that Shadab suffered a foot injury during the National T20 Cup.

The training camp for potential T20 players is likely to start on December 25 at the National Cricket Academy Lahore.

Remember that the first T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played on January 12 in Auckland, the second T20 on January 14, the third on January 17, the fourth on January 19, while the last T20 is scheduled on January 21 in Christchurch.

PCB’s selection committee consisting of

Wahab Riaz, Kamran Akmal, Asad Shafiq, and Iftikhar Anjum

will meet in the coming days and the top performers of

the National T20 Cup will also be considered.

Remember, the Pakistan cricket team is currently in Australia to

play a three-match Test series in the ongoing

World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle which will conclude on January 7.
